Get Up Off That Chair!

My laptop and Google Nexus phone (which I love) necessitate that I use my thumb in a repetitive motion so much so that I[SinglePic not found] have a new compressed joint that requires a massage to release it every few hours.  Funny that the greatest improvement to most our lives (technology, computers and smartphones) can and will cause so much more stress to our physical being.

 

What I do is get up and move around, shake my ha

 

nds, stretch my back, shrug my shoulders and decide whether to walk, ride or run for an hour.  Did you see this guys invention, the Treadmill Desk, allowing an office worker  to answer the phone and move while working?

 

 

We are all hooked on our gadgets and devices, so much so that it almost feels like an implant, huh?  Our brains are actually being re-mapped as a result.  Your Brain On Computers:  Hooked on Gadgets and Paying a Mental Price.  When all we really need to do is consciously stop, get up and move.
